First of all I want to inform my visitors that the English language is not my native one - so please be so kind and overlook printer's errors. If you want to correct my mistakes (grammar and spelling), please send an e-mail!

This Site is about my "classical" round trip through Australia in April and May 2000 and gives a first impression of the worth seeing 5th continent. Altogether I travelled nearly 20.000 km in 50 days and saw a lot of "Down Under", to start with my first diving-experiences at the Great Barrier Reef till the dangerous salties in Kakadu National Park.

The following map shows the most important places of my round trip:

My journey began in Queensland from where I and my friend Sven travelled through four states as well as Canberra and the Northern Territory. Our trip started in Cairns, from where we drove with our rental jeep along the coast till Sydney in the state New South Wales. The trip went on to the capital of Australia, Canberra and along the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne (state Victoria). After visiting one oft the most beautiful National Parks in Australia, the Grampians National Park, we drove to Adelaide in South Australia and then through the Outback (Northern Territory) to the "Top End" Darwin, with stop at Ayers Rock (have a closer look at my travel-plan).
